At the core of the Academy’s work is manifesting the leadership potential of historically underrepresented groups. Toward that end, the African American Leadership Center (AALC) promotes excellence in the practice of leadership among African American leaders in the public arena or in the civic culture of the black community. The only university-based leadership program of its kind in the U.S., AALC offers African American leaders information, resources, and the leadership and management skills needed to overcome the challenges they face.
AALC Director Dr. Ron Walters is a distinguished leadership scholar, recognized internationally for his expertise on issues related to African American leadership and politics, writing, and media savvy. |
